Trust Board Membership and Register of Interests

Trustees are appointed or elected as permitted by the Articles of Association. Each trustee has a four-year term of office, which may be extended. Up to ten trustees can be appointed by the members. Further 'co-opted' trustees may be appointed by the trust board. Two trustees are elected by school parents.

Chair of the Trust Board

The Chair of the Trust Board is appointed annually. The current chair is Jason Hughes, and he can be contacted by email at CoT@rts.richmond.sch.uk or via the school.

RTS Trust Board and Members Register of Interests 2024/2025

Trustees have a legal duty to act only in the best interests of the school. In order to identify and potential conflict, trustees are required to declare annually:

  • Directorships, partnerships and employments with businesses;
  • Trusteeships and governorships at other educational institutions and charities;
  • Relevant interests from close family relationships.

In addition to an annual declaration, trustees are required to disclose any personal or business interest in any agenda item at the beginning of every meeting and temporarily leave the meeting whilst that item is being discussed.

Full details of all current trustees and members (including those who have stepped down during the last 12 months) are listed below along with details of their relevant business and pecuniary interests.
