Content warning - Dissection in progress. Year 7 Science students have been studying the life cycle of a flowering plant, learning about the reproductive parts of a plant and following the steps of reproduction from pollination to fertilization, and finally to germination. Year 10 Triple Science Biology students have been learning about the role of the nervous system in bodily control and survival, with particular focus on the brain and the eye. Practical sessions, such as dissection, are vitally important in science and support our students with their learning. #secondaryschools #education #teaching #triplesciencegcse #dissection

We're urgently looking for someone to take over this important role from the start of the next school year – and to shadow us next term so you're ready to hit the ground running. The role isn't too time-consuming and involves: Working with the parking and events team to check and confirm (automated) fund collection Paying a few bills and invoices (and bank checks) Funding teacher bids each term that help buy some amazing items for the children Providing a simple update each term on funds raised and spent (and for HMRC) All the systems and processes are already in place - and full support will be given for the handover. A basic understanding of accounts, spreadsheets and online banking helps You must be a parent of a current student We'd love to get someone lined up now so we can show you the ropes before the summer FoRTS makes a real difference to the school and our children - and we can't do it without volunteers. Thanks to our volunteers and the rugby parking we raise significant funds for the school and the treasurer plays a valuable role in helping with it all. If you're even slightly interested or want to find out more, please email the main school address and your email will be shared with the current treasurers – no commitment at this stage!
